I'm thinking about doing my own makeup. Why should I pay to hire a makeup artist?

While you may know your makeup preferences and skin better than anyone else, your day-to-day makeup will not provide the type of coverage that is required to photograph your best. My understanding of the combination of professional products under natural and photography lighting helps to create a timeless glow and my
technique in makeup application will ensure your look to last all day and night.

What kind of makeup do you use?

I am not loyal to any specific brand. I have chosen products based on its staying power and on its durability, not on the brand itself. I have tested many products, and through trial and error, I have created a kit of products that I love with a variety of makeup ranging from MAC, NARS, Very Sexy, Aura Science, Revlon, and Loreal.

How long will the makeup last?

With all of my extensive training, I have come up with a technique in which I use a combination of primers, powders, and the makeup itself that will last throughout the entire evening. I will also do touchups before the ceremony starts to make sure your look is fresh.

Is there anything I need to do to prep my face?

Yes! Your face needs to be clean and free of any lotions, primers, or makeup. Please refrain from any and all products on the day of your trial as well as on the day of your event. This will ensure that the products I use will last. Also, if you get your eyebrows waxed, it is important that you do it about 5-7 days before the wedding. This will give the eyebrow time to heal and the makeup will adhere much better.

We are having photographs taken before the ceremony. When should we plan on getting started with makeup?

That will depend on the size of your party. You should plan for about 45-65 minutes for the bride, and about 30-45 minutes for the other attendants. I recommend planning a "trade-off" so that services can be started on one person as soon as another person is done. This will help with making the wedding day as stress free as possible, and give you more relaxation time before the ceremony.


What if I don't like my makeup at the trial run? Do I get a refund on the cost of the trial run?

The trial is an opportunity for me to get to know you and discuss what you want in your look on the big day. It also helps the wedding day move along more comfortably and calmly. I encourage you to bring pictures of the makeup styles that you'd like to achieve. Also, let me know how your hairstyle will be. This will help me to compliment your overall look.  If you don't like any aspect of the makeup during the trial, let me know and we can make the adjustments. However, whether or not you decide to book me for your wedding day, a service has been provided and payment cannot be refunded.

How do I book you? What forms of payment do you accept?

At this time, I accept cash, money order, or checks. If paying by check, you must pay your balance 1 week prior to your event so that the check has time to clear. If you'd like to book me for your wedding day, please call 813-766-1150 to check availability. Your date is considered booked when a non-refundable deposit of 1/2 of the total amount of requested services is received. The deposit will be applied towards the wedding day balance. The remainder of the balance is to be paid in full on the day of the wedding before services are performed. Please note that if in the event that your event is canceled, there will be a cancelation fee. A discount may be available if you'd like to pay your full balance in advance (please contact me for details).
